Correct me if I'm wrong.......

A large bag of Maltesers and a cup of tea isn't a healthy dinner is it?

Why not? The body often dictates what it requires, even if we try to resist. Maltesers and Tea sounds fine to me.

You can have that, as long as we agree an enormous bowl of popcorn with grated parmesan cheese and a glass or three of wine also constitutes a marvelous repast...

It is if the Maltesers are used like croutons or small cherry tomatoes in a salad.
