It's not the cough that carries you orf,
It's the coffin they carry you orf in!
Just to cheer you up :-)

Potter's do a great range of cough syrups which are more pleasant to take than those others that taste like white spirit!
Hope you have a peaceful night tonight.xxx

Oh dear, that sounds horrible. I had that one, the cough was bad. It does go eventually, though.

Benilyn (Benelyn, Benylin ?) 'Original'. It says on the packet 'Do not take if driving or working heavy machinary'. It's wonderful; it helps the cough, and puts you to sleep.

OOh Libby - did you take a day off work. You should. Must be all the cold and damp weather you'd been having

You're going to think this is completely crazy, but it works. Next time that happens, lie face down on the bed. Ball your pillow up so that it fits under your forehead, leaving your mouth and nose not touching the mattress. Most night-time coughing is caused by post-nasal drip. Stuff draining out of your sinuses runs down the back of your throat, causing the cough. If you lie face down, with your head propped up so you can breathe, the fluid that runs down can't touch the back of your throat. You'll just swallow more often, but not cough at all. Works for me!
