Today.....

Rain like never before.
Flooding in the porch and the verandah.
Thunder so loud it made the cats jump and run for cover.
The sight and sound and smells in Church that took me back to childhood......I love the smell of incense.
Eating a whole big bar of nutty chocolate (after eating a slice of home made banana bread and a chocolate mousse) to comfort myself because the storm was unsettling. Feeling sick.
Taking myself to bed early and listening to Classic FM.
Looking at goodies on ebay that I will never buy......an Hermes scarf, a chanel pearl necklace, and wondering why my favourite scent (Donna Karan Black Cashmere) has been discontinued and if I can source some from somewhere that won't cost an arm and a leg.......

This'n'that and 'phone calls and reading and a cooked breakfast and starting another crochet blanket.
Life.

That is a lot of weather. Ours has been similar this spring, but I've enjoyed even the pounding rain and lightening and thunder and heavy winds, once. Peace.

Not only did we have a storm yesterday (with some equally loud BANGS), but we also had a nearby, day-long, clay pigeon shoot. The noise was endless.

Someone near us either set off a HUGE cherry bomb, or there was a real explosion - it actually vibrated my ribs, inside my house. Rained all day yesterday, no thunder or lightning though. Hoping for some sun this afternoon.

P.S. If you find a perfume, or a lipstick, or a hair product that you love... buy a crapload of it and store it away. Almost every product I've discovered I loved was immediately discontinued... live and learn.

Then again, with perfumers, they sometimes discontinue things so that people will raise a ruckus, then they "bring them back" for a special treat, at twice the price.

Blowing the dust off the blog......

And in other news.......... I have decided to retire at Christmas. This will be a reduction in money coming in but hopefully a better qua...
