My washing line has been up and down more times than a fiddlers elbow in the last hour....sunny? put the washing on the line.....oh..raining?...in the tumble drier....oh gosh we have to start economising a bit and the sun is out again....back on the line....really raining hard now so have to go out and bring in very wet washing.............daughter bringing new boyfriend back for lunch.......will he be bothered by cats? ........... THIS is why rich people are lucky......someone else does the laundry and they are'nt to be found (unless they want to be...but thats a different scenario) on their hands and knees picking up cat hair....wishing they had a cleaner and someone to fight back the tide of dust and accumulated 'stuff' that is in this house....and what makes me really cross is that all the stuff is my fault....I am not minimalist (next time next time) and feel that I am responsible for all this.....I bring in the paintings and the books and the knick knacks and one day will live in a place that is white and bright with only a comfy bed, a chair, a table, and whatever is necessary ..........or just travel constantly from hotel to hotel and be free.......

I have lived in my current house longer than anywhere else in my life and boy does it show. When I moved more frequently it was always a chance to have a clear out. Now I can't move for crap all over the place!
PS My dryer broke 3 years ago and I haven't bothered to fix it. Clothes horses and a house looking like a laundry will suffice ;o)

It's always funny reading someone else having a good old rant. Hope it's out of your system now and you had a lovely lunch with your daughter, her boyfriend and the cat!
By the way, I think it's spitting again....

Hello ladies.......yes I feel much better now thankyou...had a little moan, put the washing in the tumble drier, and had a glass of wine and a lovely lunch with both kids and their respective partners.....have decided that a bit of cat hair here and there is ok...all food in the kitchen is always covered so as long as its not on our dinner no problem!! I also have a lovely set of clothes horses that (along with radiators) are used to full effect most times...just did'nt want the house looking like a laundry just then.....and WHAT IS IT with this weather???

I've not hung the washing out for a few weeks now, as it is such a pain going in and out. We had a car boot sale on Sunday, the 3 of us emptied out sheds, cupboards, shelves and sold loads of stuff, and made £98 towards my little girl's new trampoline so she was thrilled to bits!

Well done Diney...I'm impressed....I think I need to do something similar..won't be buying a trampoline though!

The trouble with minimilism (for me) is that it's like being inside a huge white coffin. Give me the clutter of life any day of the week. ;-)

Steve...I know what you mean...if I'm in the right mood I like my 'stuff' and I was impressed with your Lego constructions, so can imagine that you like colour and shape in your life too!

Just for now.
