I'm in the no camp too...we wanted to go in August, but there were no flights/hotel rooms because of a convention or something...let us know your recommendations when you've been!
Just had 6 friends over for dinner so in a not entirely drunk but enjoying a glass or two over dinner moment, we have booked a cheap and cheerful trip to Lithuania with ryan air in October.....get ready Kaunas!

Never been alas... but if you go I'd be interested to hear your opinion.
Um, nope, never been but if you're going in November, I'd take a torch as I don't think there'll be much daylight!

There was an article about Helsinki in The Telegraph today, about it being World Design Capital for 2012. It's somewhere I would love to go.
I'm thinking more of places with the heat and light now it's dreary out!
