I think I have decided which stove to buy for the sitting room - possibly - but just when I am sure we will have logs my husband suggests gas or multi fuel as it will be 'easier'............................mmmmm..
Logs it is!
Now to source flooring and window shutters..........
Hopefully the room will be done before Christmas......oh Ker-rikey....fancy mentioning the C word so early in the year!!

Wash your mouth out! The C word should not be uttered before Dec' 15th (at the earliest).
Logs are lovely but I think of the dust and dirt and also the cost, I know my son mentioned that the price of logs was going up and up.
As for the C word, arhhhhhhhhh

Think hard about the logs. They're messy and smelly, then you'll need a logstore to keep them dry....and a very big chopper!!!
I should have mentioned that I buy my wood in metre lengths, have to saw them with a chainsaw, then take them to the house in a wheelbarrow. In winter I use about a wheelbarrow-full per day; if really cold even more. The idea of logs is more romantic than practical, but personally I wouldn't use anything else.
