We got together yesterday for a family lunch out and then back to Ma and Pa's place for tea and cake.
As for a present? well he would give me anything if I asked for it but finds the price of razor blades for himself absolutely shocking..so I bought him a new razor and a supply of blades...he seemed pleased.

Happy birthday to your Pa. I have an upcoming birthday and Lady M asked me what I want as a present; as usual I replied NOTHING. Being bearded, even the razor wouldn't do.
He looks like a great dad. Well done to him for being 89!
