Tomorrow we will be flying to Rekyavik for 4 days.
I've never been before and the weather looks very wet and cold.
I've got a thermal vest and leggings (oh yes I am sex on a stick at times) and I spotted some 'brand new with tags never been around some other arse before' waterproof trousers in the local charidee shop, so I bought those....throw in the thermal hat and gloves, and I will be ready to face nature in all her glory.

Have fun,Libs. Give us all your news when you get back. x
Enjoy you trip. Don't forget to take a dip in a thermal pool.
I put on a long sleeved thermal vest this morning, and I'm not even going to Reykjavik!
I had all these things for our Iceland trip and that was in the summer! You will have a fabulous time. Can't wait to hear about it x
Should I mention that I am putting away my merino thermals... er maybe not. Would love to visit Iceland one day. Enjoy it!
If you've never been there before, I'm curious as to why you're going now. Just trying new things, or is there a destination for a purpose in the mix? Can't wait to see pix and read about your adventure!
I am surprised you are heading to Iceland in October Libby. I went one June years ago when there was no night and the seabirds and insects were active twenty four hours a day. I hope you blog about the experience. Iceland is a very unusual country.
Nana....fun was had...will post later in the week when I've unpacked etc., x
Rachel...well we did the Blue Lagoon but I believe there are lots of smaller more used by the local thermal places that we could have dipped into..t'was an interesting experience!
Cro..we were lucky with the weather in one way in that we didn't need the thermals..but the rain and the grey clouds meant we never saw the Northern Lights.
Trish...I managed to talk my mister out of a whale watching trip...and my goodness the booze is dear isn't it?x
LMSG..Thank you ..we had a smashing four days.x
M..the timing never really had much planning behind it...it was a cheap deal that we saw and took advantage of...some pics maybe later.x
YP..unusual is exactly the right word!
Looking forward to hearing about it. I've wanted to go for years and years...
I'm hoping to go to Iceland, although I think I'll go the whole hog and wait till it is definitely snowing. Watch out for the "Hidden People!" :)
