I have parked the worrying/tiresome stuff over there...................and it can sit in the comfortable corner behind me and wait.
I was thinking about you. You, reading this, now. Trying to decide who you would get on with, and have a laugh and a great evening with, if I had a party and you were all invited.
There were a few 'pairings' that made me smile....and I know who would be by the booze table.........
No, I'm not going to share my imaginings with you.....but it was a swelegant party and everyone had a really really good time.
Take a few moments to think about being somewhere lovely, with the music of your choice, food and drink and good company.......and smile.

That's my kind of party. No sleep lost and no hangover. Win-win.
I trust you put me close to the red wine!
I have never really liked parties but if I did arrive at yours I'd want Leonard Cohen on the hi-fi, a bag of chips with scraps, a mug of Yorkshire tea and as for "good company" - how about The Body Shop? I would have said Cadburys or Rowntrees but they have been bought out by conglomerates without social consciences. I would be happy to arm wrestle your "mister" in the kitchen.
I'm there! Can I help with the washing up afterwards?
I've just sat and thought about the people I know comment on your blog and who I might stand swishing wine and listening to with pleasure. I'm not telling either but your hospitality was marvellous, thank you x
Super...no broken glasses, spilt red wine, or getting suck in the corner with someone you don't really like...
I'll be the one starting off quiet & ending up giggling & a little too loud - sorry x
A blogger's shindig, now there's a thought....
That's easy. Jimmy Stewart on my arm, an Old Fashioned in my hand, and Glenn Miller in the air.
How lovely that we're all invited! I'm the do-er in the kitchen generally, unless I'm passing around food.
I'm leaving Trish to the washing up and fighting Cro Magnon for the red!
I'd like to meet everyone around a table for good food and wine, we could swap seats after each course (lots of courses!) to have a good old natter. Count me in.
Leonard Cohen? Bugger that.....dust down old Maggie May, stick her on the turntable and let's get this party started!
Sorry about the worrying stuff. I got me some of that too.
Could I come the day after the party instead and chat to you about it? And eat the leftover crisps?
A party - that sounds fun ... "I have parked the worrying/tiresome stuff over there...................and it can sit in the comfortable corner behind me and wait." That is a great way to deal with things and its sitting in the comfortable seat so everyone is happy!
Just wondering how you are? x
