The House of Rufus. The Royal Opera House. Some drinking, eating, walking, and generally being a tourist.
That man is blessed with an amazing voice. With a sister who unexpectedly joined him on stage last night and sang Stormy Weather. What a bonus.....Rufus and Martha together. I loved London this time.....sometimes I don't....sometimes it seems full and frantic and uncaring and ugly......but not this time....the sun shone, the streets weren't too busy and the glasses of fizz took the sharp corners off my thinking.....

Sounds wonderful
I've loved Rufus for years!
As usual, it's a one way sort of affair...
This is how old I am.....I was a huge fan of their father`s, Loudon III!Glad you had a good time.
Love visiting London, but love catching the train home too. Never been anywhere as high falutin' as The Royal Opera House though!
What a fabulous evening!
Steve.....an overnight is just enough...miss my peeps and my home after that.
Kellogsville/ALW....it was indeed a lovely trip..I am very lucky.
Macy....yep I think you have unrequited affection syndrome there.....and I love love love his voice....especially the Judy set.
Ah Nana...I'm older than you and remember his papa too!
Andy...yes indeedy...the ROH is falutin with bells on....would love to go back and see an Opera (and yes I have seen one before....I is slightly edumacated...)...and I think it is sweet that you love catching the train home...
There's something very enticing about that photograph - it captures the essence of your words in the post.
Eldest daughter had a ticket for that concert, but made the huge sacrifice to come down to us instead. So glad you had a great time.
Off to google who Rufus might be...
Trish.....thank you....my camera skills are poor but I like that shot too.
Moannie.....what a wonderful daughter!
Marcheline.....hope you like him when you find him..
He's cute, I will say that. Have to go now and give a listen to his voice.
Sounds amazing - we went for coffee and cake at ROH last time in the smoke but have to make do with opera north at theatre royal in Newcastle until we go to London eventually without 11 year old! For now it's the railway children, (amazing) and Glee at the O2! Both brilliant of their genre.
That was a cheerier post!
ooohhhh I have a ticket but didnt go....
this is my new place Libby! incognito...
