A fine looking and classy ensemble indeed. I was in navy blue too!I looked a bit like Hattie Jacques so between us we would have made a great pair!...talking of which, your last sentence was exactly what my ex used to remark about my ample bosom!Great to 'see' you back, Libs.x

Been to a wedding?
And why not, a little bit if what we fancy does us good. I'm going to wear a big ball gown one day. I'm sure my daughter hopes it won't be to her wedding but you never know!
It looks like a lovely outfit and I'm sure you looked lovely in it!
I live by the philosophy that "You don't choose the hat, the hat chooses you,"As my Panama would attest. Bet you looked great.
Wish the photo was of you IN the hat and veil, but I suppose we'll have to make do with a photo of only the accoutrements..... sigh....Lovely stuff, btw!
Happy days are worth more then the weight in goal and if a hat with a veil is what it takes I shall buy and wear one myself.
Wonderful! And am loving the shoes with it too. Love that expression "to the pound"
Had to click on the photo to make it bigger so I could have a proper nosey. Love the whole ensemble - very elegant x
I seriously doubt if you looked like Edith Sitwell. I'm sure you looked lovely but more normal than her!
Thank you for your kind comments...if I can find a wedding pic that suits I will post it soon...xx
I love to wear hats and there's nothing wrong with a veil - those shoes look fabulous too!
Congratulations to you and "the mister" on your son's wedding and what a nice place to have it! I am sure you looked lovely in your posh hat. I hope "the mister" gave your son some fatherly advice about wedding night conduct.
J and YP...thank you.

Spending an hour at an allotment open day in the sunshine. A toasted croissant slathered in butter for breakfast. Drying washing on a line...
